500Rosario Reyes, a Peruvian native who migrated to the United States over forty years ago, is the founder and CEO of the Latino Educational Training Institute (LETI). A small business owner for 30+ years, Rosario has dedicated her abundant energy to successfully establishing and expanding her business while focusing on community development. As a result of her 17+ years of work in social services with Latinos with limited resources, language barriers, lack of information and other difficulties, she passionately embraces the advancement of first generation immigrants. Rosario’s works closely with a wide spectrum of community and corporate groups to create coalitions that enhance community relationships and helps achieve LETI’s mission. In 2013 she created the Latino Leadership Initiative (LLI) in partnership with Edmonds Community College, Everett Community College and Skagit Valley College. The Latino Leadership Initiative seeks to empower young Latinos and put them on a path to become leaders, by involving them in their communities and by giving them the confidence and tools to succeed. To that end, graduated students are place in internships with health plans, municipalities or universities.

Rosario Reyes, Peruana de nacimiento emigró a los Estados Unidos hace más de cuarenta años, ella es la fundadora y directora ejecutiva del Latino Educational Training Institute (LETI), también es propietaria de una pequeña empresa por más de 30 años, ella ha dedicado su abundante energía a establecer con éxito y expandir su negocio mientras se enfoca en el desarrollo comunitario. Como resultado de sus más de 17 años de trabajo en servicios sociales con latinos con recursos limitados, barreras idiomáticas, falta de información y otras dificultades aparentemente insuperables, ella abrazo apasionadamente el compromiso de trabajar en el avance de los inmigrantes de primera generación. Las actividades comerciales de Rosario siempre han sido paralelas a su servicio social, trabajando en estrecha colaboración con un amplio espectro de grupos comunitarios y corporativos para crear coaliciones que mejoren las relaciones comunitarias y ayuden a lograr la misión de LETI. En 2013 Rosario creó la Iniciativa de Liderazgo Latino (LLI) en asociación con Edmonds Community College, Everett Community College y Skagit Valley College. La Iniciativa de Liderazgo Latino busca empoderar a los jóvenes latinos y ponerlos en el camino para convertirse en líderes, involucrándolos en sus comunidades y brindándoles la confianza y las herramientas para tener éxito. A tal efecto, los estudiantes graduados se colocan en prácticas en Planes de Salud, Municipios o Universidades.
