David has spent more than a decade as a science and technology journalist, producing compelling educational media for print, radio, and video outlets. In the course of his work, he’s interviewed Nobel laureates, flown in homemade aircraft, chased tornadoes, through the Midwest, and spent over a month at sea with scientists studying exotic life on the ocean floor.
Before joining Engaging Students, he worked as a web producer at NOVA, the PBS science series, where he created and hosted the show’s award-winning audio podcast. Along the way, David has earned several journalism fellowships including Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, the National Center for Atmospheric Research, and the Marine Biological Laboratory. He has a music degree, and isn’t afraid to use it.
